One group means one output PDF
In PDFStitch, semicolons separate output files. Entering 1-3; 4-7 creates one PDF containing pages 1 to 3 and another containing pages 4 to 7.
Use commas for pages that belong together
A comma keeps non-adjacent pages in the same output. The group 1,3-5 creates one PDF containing pages 1, 3, 4, and 5—in that page order.
Leave unwanted pages out
A page that does not appear in any group will not appear in the downloads. This is useful for blank scan pages, instructions, or sections the recipient did not request.
Avoid accidental disclosure
Splitting can reduce what you send, but you still need to open each result and inspect it. Pay particular attention to pages immediately before and after the intended range.
Know what rebuilding can change
Page appearance is usually preserved, but document-level bookmarks, forms, attachments, accessibility structure, and digital signatures may not survive. Keep the original and avoid splitting signed or archival documents.
