Does RulePix upload my image?
No. The image is decoded, resized, and compressed inside your browser. It is never sent to RulePix.
Can it make an image between 20 KB and 50 KB?
Yes. Enter 20 as the minimum and 50 as the maximum. RulePix searches for the highest-quality result inside that range.
What if the portal also asks for exact dimensions?
Turn on exact dimensions and enter the requested width and height in pixels. RulePix crops the image to fill that frame without stretching it.
Why are some country profiles check-only?
Some authorities explicitly say passport photos must not be altered or cropped. For those destinations, RulePix validates the original technical properties without changing the file.
Is there one photo rule for all European countries?
No. European identity and visa photo standards share principles, but digital upload limits are set by individual countries and portals. RulePix therefore provides a transparent custom EU/Schengen workflow.
Why can’t every image meet every rule?
Some combinations are physically unrealistic—for example, a detailed 1000 × 1000 image under 5 KB. RulePix tells you when the rules conflict instead of pretending the file will pass.
